Discovery is one page in the console: Discovery, under Reach. It decides where your public videos can appear. Open it at https://app.agentcdn.com/discovery. The page has three cards:
  1. Where your public videos appear: three switches and the list of included videos.
  2. What we publish: what search engines and AI tools get, with a status and a copy button for each address.
  3. Your website: connect your own domain, add the head tags, and set up WordPress.

The three switches

AgentTV pages and search is the base switch. While it is off:
  • The other two switches have no effect. The console shows them disabled with “Turn on AgentTV pages and search first.” Their saved values stay.
  • Your watch pages, your library page, your Ask page and your public video address for AI apps are offline.
Turning off AgentTV pages and search takes your watch pages offline and removes your videos from AgentTV search. The AgentTV apps and Google and Bing stop too. The console asks you to confirm.
Turning off AgentTV apps also asks you to confirm. AI apps stop answering from your videos through the AgentTV apps. Your pages stay up.

Which videos are included

Under the switches, the card says how many videos are included, for example “12 of 14 videos are included.” Open Why videos are left out to see each left-out video and the fix: To leave one video out, set it to unlisted in Videos. Its link keeps working, but it leaves your public pages, search and the apps. Include sets it back to public.

Change the switches from code

Read the switches, the counts and the left-out videos:
show is left_out (default) or all. Page with offset and limit (up to 200). Change one switch with POST /v1/discovery:
This is a change, so it runs in two calls: a preview, then the same request with confirm_token. See Changes run in two calls.
  • apps and search_engines return 409 pages_off while pages is off.
  • Asking for the value a switch already has returns 409 no_change.
On the account MCP, the same operations are the get_discovery and set_discovery tools.

What we publish

With AgentTV pages and search on, AgentTV hosts a public page for your library and one watch page for each included video:
  • Library page: https://agenttv.com/creators/your-brand
  • Watch page: https://agenttv.com/creators/your-brand/videos/vid_123/watch
The What we publish card lists what search engines and AI tools get on top of those pages. Each row shows Live, Waiting, Off or Not available right now. Search engines AI formats Copy each address with the button on its row. To connect an AI app to your videos, choose Connect an assistant. It opens AI assistants.

Your website

This card connects your own website to AgentTV. It has three tabs. The head tags must be in the HTML your server sends. Tags that a script adds in the browser do not count. Until your own address is live, the tags use AgentTV addresses.

Add Ask to your website

The Ask box setup starts from the Ask page in the console. A link to /discovery?setup=ask_embed_setup sends you there. See Add Ask to your site.

WordPress

The WordPress setup adds current AgentTV video metadata to one existing WordPress page. Your page and your player stay as they are. The plugin adds a video record (VideoObject) and a breadcrumb when the page has none. It can update an existing video record only when it matches the same video exactly. Other SEO data on the page stays. Open it at https://app.agentcdn.com/discovery?setup=wordpress_setup, or in Your website, Install, WordPress. Before you start:
  • Google and Bing is on.
  • Your website is connected and verified, its install check passed, and you chose Add video details to my existing pages on the Domain tab.
  • The video is a public YouTube video in your main public library. Videos in members-only collections cannot connect.
  • The page is a public HTTPS permalink with one YouTube privacy-enhanced player (youtube-nocookie.com) in a Custom HTML block.
1

Prepare the page connection

Choose your Verified website, the Public YouTube video, and the Existing page URL. Confirm that the video is the page’s main content and that you can exclude the page from full-page caches. Choose Prepare page connection.
2

Install the plugin

Download AgentTV Metadata from the panel. In WordPress, go to Plugins, Add Plugin, Upload Plugin and install the ZIP. The panel shows the package’s SHA-256 if you want to check the download.
3

Paste the configuration

Copy the configuration from the panel. In WordPress, open Settings, AgentTV Metadata, paste it, confirm the cache exclusion, enable the page and save. The configuration holds no password or key.
4

Check the page

Back in the console, choose Check installed page. The setup check has a time limit. If it expires, choose Create new setup configuration and paste the new one.
5

Activate

After the page check passes, AgentTV reviews playback. Choose Refresh review status. When the review is complete, choose Activate reviewed page.
Until the page is active, normal visitors see your original page. Only AgentTV’s check request sees the new metadata. If the setup does not fit your site, choose Request WordPress setup help in the same panel.
